moMentS tO shAre

Last night was one of the most important event of the medical technology students in San Pedro College. It was our acquaintance party and my very first time to meet all the medtech studes in our department. It was held in Grand Men Seng Hotel. As we enter to the said place of the event, we were assigned to sit on the tables by color coding of our shirts. We were all required to wear our prescribed shirt having a spoof printed on it. I belong to the 2nd year BMLS2b section (BMLS means Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science - it is the new name for medical technology). I and my classmates were very proud having shirts with “I make FOOL out of myself because I’m bored of being SMART” printed in a large font. Of all the sections, we were the only class having a uniform spoofs. And I am proud of it. We all looked cool and young.

The most interesting part of the event was the dance, acoustic and modeling competitions. Each of the class must have a representative(s) to present and join the competition. I belong to the acoustic competition since I was the only one in our class knows how to play the guitar. I wasn’t so nervous (unlike my usual experience) because my classmate, Irene, who will sing “I’ll Never Get Over You” by MYMP has a very wonderful voice. We were the fifth presenter next to the dance presentation of our class. While I was setting up the microphones and the guitar, I can already hear the people shouting our names. They combined HANNAH and IRENE as “IRAH.” And when I looked at them, the people were all standing (unlike the previous class). It seemed they were all excited to watch us. I believed we all got the audience impact score. Hehehe… I was also overwhelmed with the dance presentation of our class. The dancers were very snappy and happy as they danced the remixed music. The last part of the program was the modeling competition. But I was no longer there to watch because I went home earlier than 11 o’clock.

Oh by the way, I didn’t like the dishes so much in our dinner. But I was amazed by the buttered chicken because it was very big. And I wasn’t able to eat them all because I was busy chatting with my classmates and watching the presentations.

And before I’m off to bed, I got a good news from my classmates because we were the champions in the dance and acoustic contest. I’m happy for our class and to myself as well. That night was really unforgettable for all of us BMLS students and especially to me as a new student in SPC.
