Today, is the very first time I collect blood through venipuncture in our clinical chemistry class. It is such a nerve-racking moment yet a very challenging experience! I thought I can’t make it but I’m happy to know I am able to collect just at least 2cc of serum. My first patient is my classmate, Bianca. I know she trusts me, so it adds me a little confidence.
Besides that, my co-partner failed to reach my vein in my right forearm. So I really need to take another courage to be punctured twice!!! But of course, not at the same forearm - but on my left again. Now I know how it feels when needle passes through the skin!
Sadly, we were not allowed to take pictures while doing it inside the lab. But it’s alright, this in not yet the last time. I know there will be a time we need to venipuncture each other - almost everyday (as what the fourth year students said.)
I am starting to love my course!

Recently, I reviewed all the albums in my friendster profile. When I saw the pictures with my second year classmates, I realized that I miss them already. I was with them for just about a year and I feel like I’ve been with them since they were first year. Even I’m a new comer to their class, they never make me feel that way. Instead, I feel so much welcomed as well as respected since I am older than them.
Just last December 2008, we had our Christmas party at the same time a farewell party somehow because we were told by the head teachers that we will be reshuffled on the upcoming semester. It was held at the Water World Resort after we had our last day of final exams.
It was me who made the parlor games for them.

This is the daily scenario of my Zoology class in this summer time. We were tasked to remove first the skin of the cat to study its muscle parts. (By the way, it was killed by putting the cat in the gas chamber.)

In exposing the cat’s muscles, we took three hours to clean and remove the skin. The cat is then injected with embalming solution to preserve its whole body.
We placed color-tipped pins to identify the different parts of muscles of the cat and to familiarize. It is then washed again with embalming solution to remain its preserved body so that we could still make use of it when we’ll study the internal organs and endoskeleton soon.

Have you ever been the target of a bully? Perhaps there’s someone at school who makes fun of the way you dress, your height or weight or your ethnic background. Or perhaps someone puts you down because you have an unusual last name, struggle academically or are shy. Maybe you’ve been slugged, shoved, tripped, teased, mocked or humiliated more times than you care to remember.

Those who are bullied know how devastating it can be. In most cases, it’s not just a one-time or even an occasional occurrence. Once a bully has found a target, he usually continues his assaults on a daily basis. This can put the person on the receiving end in a state of constant anxiety, and it can lead to feelings of embarrassment, depression and social isolation. Guys and girls who are bullied may become so upset about what’s happening that their school work and physical health suffer.
Certainly bullying is the total opposite of the Golden Rule, which tells us to “do to others what you would have them do to you.” Psalm 11:5 says of God, “Those who love violence his soul hates.” God despises bullying! Those who strive to live by the Golden Rule find the very thought of bullying repulsive too.

Overbearingly well-loved.
For such a warm-hearted, generous person like themselves, it is of no surprise that people dub them as the social butterfly of the group. Their carefree and sociable personality makes it of no inconvenience for them to find friends anywhere they go, which makes them such sweethearts. If the Priss was Satan in heels who ruled over the student body with terror, then the Princess is like the Queen Bee who governs with kindness and sincerity. Overlooking all the negative aspects and cliche’s, the Princess is anybody and everybody’s friend, always there with a helping hand at no cost. Read the rest of this entry »

Dubbed as the “it” girl of her generation, Lindsay have graced magazine covers from Seventeen to Cosmopolitan, all hailing her to be a true teenage drama queen. Already have been established herself as a young actress through her debut feature film, “Freaky Friday”, Lindsay was already wired into the Hollywood industry from the get go.

Lindsay Lohan has been named many things such as “good role model” and “teenage icon”, but behind her arrests in 2007, does it still remain true up of this moment? With all the night parties, and never-ending liquor run, it seemed that the night life for La Lohan ran short, when she was admitted at the Cirque Lodge Rehabilitation Center, Utah, for her alcohol and drug addiction. And to think, this is the girl that 10-18 year old girls look up to.

Princess of pop and a dynamic performer, Britney Spears has never been far from the media spotlight. Ever since her debut classis school girl uniform video entitled, “Hit Me Baby One More Time”, she hase been the heart of the tabloids and center of the pop music industry.
It seems that it was just yesterday that our Teen Princess was just in their pigtails epitomizing innocence and virginity for young females around the world, but rumors started whirling aroung that Miss. Spears then was not as innocent and pure as she said she was, being linked with Justin Timberlake. In September 2007, Britney was charged with misdemeanor hit and run and driving without liscence. On the evening of January 2, 2008, Mrs. Spears sung her “Oops, I Did It Again” all the way to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in which she appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance, where she was held for psychiatric evaluation for 2 days.

Could these misbehaviors have had something to do with her relationship to then-husband Kevin Federline, blaming it on stress and personal issues, or is Britney Spears really mentally ill? For the mean time, nothing’s certain, but these are just some of the many things why Britney Spears “Drives Me Crazy”.

Being a famous singer isn’t an excuse, but being an elite heiress born to one of the richest families in America is another story. On May 2007, Paris Hilton was sentenced to forty five days in jail for isolating her trial, thinking that the iconic blonde could pay her way out of jail and into the comfort of her daddy’s mansion. Even in prison, Paris was given far more luxuries that what the normal convicts of the prison would have been given. It’s true - there are just many things that money can buy!

I miss the feeling when this picture was taken. It was like I’m all alone along the seashore. Hearing the envious, relaxing (*sigh*), emanating sound of the waves. No talk, just waves, tropical breezes, sunshine and lapping waves. What a nice simple scenic beach walk moment!

I was thinking about that saying, “Silence is golden.” This is what I am craving for to make my day spectacular!

Just updating an entry for today.
I don’t really like writing a post right now, I’m not so into mood of sharing. But I know I have a lot of things I need to share here. Just, not now. These few days were again stressful. But I love it. Hehehe… This is what I want. I hate to be bored and do nothing.
I hope you understand me guys.
And I feel so sleepy at this moment.
Maybe I just need a sleep (I want an eight hour-sleep, ok?!?)
Bye.
